The Happy DRJ app was designed to cater to individuals with unique and special needs, particularly children diagnosed on the autism spectrum. The app aims to promote a calm state of mind, which is known to enhance learning capabilities. This is facilitated through two main features: midline exercises and social stories.
The midline exercises in the app engage both the left and right hemispheres of the brain, improving communication, focus, and overall calming effect on the child. These five exercises are not only simple and enjoyable but also based on a globally acknowledged doctoral publication translated into 27 languages.
Research suggests that these midline exercises stimulate the brain's hemispheres to communicate more effectively, triggering the release of natural chemicals that create a soothing impact on a child's emotional well-being.
On the other hand, the social stories feature in the Happy DRJ app offers concise guidelines on how to better interact with the world, presented through three amicable cartoon characters.
The Happy DRJ app is currently available in 15 languages. Note that access to the application requires a subscription.
